4 p.m.              Ceremony begins @ 1st Hildebran Baptist Church (20 min. travel distance)

 

5 p.m.              Reception officially begins. Guests will start to arrive. DJ Lamb will please play pleasant background music as guests mingle & eat. (2nd Sound System setup in Dining room). 

 

5:30 p.m.          Bride and Groom arrive.  NO Formal introduction yet
Formal Welcome by DJ Lamb
Formal Blessing by Pastor Ron Arndt (aren’t)

 

6:30 p.m.          DJ Lamb will direct all guests and family into the “Dancing Room”.
Formal Introduction of The Bridal Party by DJ Lamb (Each Bridesmaid and Groomsmen will have their own personal song played while their name is announced)
Bride & Groom’s First Dance = “From This Moment” by S. Twain & B. White (430)
Father & Bride’s Dance = “My Girl” by the Temptations
Mother & Groom’s Dance = NO, unless otherwise requested
Open Dance Floor.

 

7:15 p.m.          Formal Toast = Bride’s Father, Mr. Dwight Lail
Cake Cutting = “Pour Some Sugar on Me” by Def Leppard (34)
Longest Married Couple Dance, orchestrated by DJ Lamb (“Through the Years” by Kenny Rogers).
Open Dance Floor!

 

8 p.m.              Bulldog Toss = DJ Lamb will orchestrate this with the Kids (Client will provide candy). “Who Let the Dogs Out” by Baha Men.

Bouquet Toss = “It’s Raining Men” by Weather Girls (3)
Garter Removal = “Oh Yeah” by Yello
Garter Toss = “Rocky Theme Song”
Open Dance Floor!

 

8:40 p.m.          Newlyweds Last Dance of the night = “I Belong to You” by Lenny Kravitz (522).  DJ Lamb will direct guests to get the “rice” and to position themselves outside, in two rows for the Newlyweds Grand Exit.  Reception officially ends. 

 

 

Ø      Do NOT play: Strokin, Macarena, YMCA (unless requested), and no Heavy Rap.  No Skits, Props, or dedications either.

Ø      Do PLAY the following:  Staying Alive, Dancing Queen, Brown Eyed Girl, Jump Around, Shake Your Bootie (KC), Inflatable by Bush (Their CD!), Michael Jackson, Cha-Cha Slide, Bus Stop, Chicken Dance, and maybe Kiss by Prince.  Mix in Top 40, Motown, Dance, Alternative, Rock, Hip Hop, 70s-90s, Disco, etc.  Requests & some props (hands for the groomsmen) are acceptable.  Be as interactive as necessary.
