Wedding Itinerary – Saturday, October 16, 2004

Dragon Court Chinese Restaurant – Tony

MC & Entertainment – DJ Lamb

 

3 p.m.              Ceremony begins.  University Hills Baptist Church (30 min, 15 min travel)

 

3:45 p.m.          Guests may begin to arrive.  Cocktail Hour.  No greeters.  DJ Lamb will assist guests where necessary.  Pleasant background music will be played while guests mingle.

 

4:30 p.m.          Bride & Groom arrive.  NO bridal/wedding party intro, just Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Lester
Formal Welcome – Done by DJ Lamb.  “Following Chinese tradition, the Hung Gar Kung Fu Academy will perform a traditional Chinese Lion Dance”

 

5 p.m.              DJ Lamb will announce the 1st Course, and “Open Beer Bar from 4-7pm.  For those of you who prefer wine, simply ask the staff for a glass.”
At some point, the Centerpiece giveaway will be orchestrated by DJ Lamb.  If guests need to be entertained, DJ Lamb will also orchestrate a fun, interactive game (Name that Tune)

 

6:30 p.m.          Bride & Groom’s 1st Dance – “You Are” by Jimmy Wayne (T 736 )

Parent Dance (combined Father & Bride, Mother & Groom) – “In My Daughter’s Eyes” by Martina McBride… DJ Lamb will invites guests unto the dance ½ way through.
Open Dance Floor! 

 

7:10 p.m.          Formal Toast – Best Man, Mr. Wayne Fike.  No open mic
Formal Cake Cutting – “Sugar Sugar” by the Archies, then “How Sweet It Is” by J.T.
Longest Married Couple Dance – “Through the Years” by K Rogers.
Open Dance Floor!

 

7:45 p.m.          Bulldog Toss (for kids only) – “Who Let the Dogs Out” by the Baha Men
Bouquet Toss = “Wishin & Hopin” by Dusty Springfield
Garter Removal = “The Stripper” by   - Chair Treatment!
Garter Toss = “Another Ones Bites the Dust” by Queen, that’s it!
Open Dance Floor!

 

8:30 p.m.          Grand Exit – DJ Lamb will instruct guests to line up at the Restaurant entrance (Goodnight Sweetheart by the Spaniels)

 

 

Ø      Do NOT play Macarena, Chicken Dance, or Hokey Pokey.

Ø      Do PLAY Mambo #5, Electric Slide, Come on Eileen, Cotton Eyed Joe, and a mix of country, rock, etc.

Ø      Requests and dedications acceptable (within reason).  Be as interactive as necessary.  Props & Giveaways okay, but no skits.
