Wedding Reception Itinerary – Saturday, July 5, 2003 (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.)

Hilton Charlotte Executive Park – Sandi Lancaster

Entertainment and MC – DJ Lamb

 

3 p.m.              Ceremony begins at St. Mary’s Chapel (30 min.) – Travel 15 min.

 

3:45 p.m.          Guests may arrive this early.  Reception officially begins at 4 p.m.

                        Fruits, Cheese, and Refreshments available.

 

4:15 p.m.          Bride & Groom Arrive.  Formal Introduction of the Bridal Party only = “This Will Be An Everlasting Love” by Natalie Cole
Formal Welcome to Guests = DJ Lamb

                        Mother & Groom’s First Dance = “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole, only

                        Father & Bride’s First Dance = “It’s Your Song” by Garth Brooks (457)

                                    ** Bride’s Father will symbolically bring the newlyweds together for the

                        Bride & Groom’s First Dance = “At Last” by Etta James

                        Formal Cake Cutting = “Recipe for Love” by Harry Connick Jr, (Sugar Sugar – BB 1969)

                        DJ Lamb will announce the Heavy Hors d’oeuvres & cameras on the tables

                        Pleasant background music while guests and family mingle and eat

 

5:30 p.m.          Formal Toast = Mr. Carl Engelbert (Groom’s Father), that’s it!  No open mic!

                        Open Dance Floor – If appropriate

 

6 p.m.              Bulldog Toss for the Kids = “Who Let the Dogs Out”, orchestrated by DJ Lamb (RH 62)

                        One ballad, then into the “Longest Married Couple Dance” (K. Rogers)

                        Open Dance Floor!

 

6:45 p.m.          Special appearance of the Blues Brothers Band!

                        Open Dance Floor continued…

 

7:30 p.m.          Bride & Groom’s Last Dance = “Come Away With Me” by Norah Jones (678).  Then DJ Lamb will announce their departure and guests are welcome to dance till 8 p.m. when the reception officially ends.

 

Ø      Do NOT play the Macarena or Offensive Rap / Inappropriate Music

Ø      PLAY the following = This is the Night (T699), Don’t Know Why (and anything else by Norah Jones), Top 40, Swing, 50s-60s, Country, Beach/Shag, Electric Slide, & YMCA.  Props, Appropriate Interactive Entertainment, Requests, & Dedications OKAY
