Wedding Reception Itineraries

Entertainer & MC: DJ Lamb

 6 pm               Hors d’ouerves and punch served outside the Ballroom.  Bridal Party will be taking pictures as guests mingle.

 6:30 pm           Reception officially begins. Guests will be allowed into the ballroom. 

·        DJ Lamb will instruct all guests to find their name for seating arrangements at the entrance

·        DJ Lamb will instruct guests to please ring the bells holding the placecards if they want the Bride and Groom to kiss!

·        DJ Lamb will instruct all guests to sign matting of Engagement Photo for the Bride and Groom.

·        DJ Lamb will play pleasant background music as guests mingle and eat. 

·        DJ Lamb will announce open bar from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm and guests should utilize the cameras on the tables and at the end of the evening, please return them to the gift table. 

 7 pm               Bride and Groom arrive.  (Dinner Buffet will be served from 7 pm to 9:30 pm)

·        Formal introduction of The Wedding Party by DJ Lamb -”Sirius” (Bull’s Theme) by Alan Parsons

·        Formal Welcome by DJ Lamb (people from Bride’s side coming mostly from WI, groom is mostly all southern, Concord and Beaufort, North Carolina natives)

·        DJ Lamb will announce that tables will be called to the buffet.  The parents table is to eat first then the others. Head table is being served.

·        Cake Cutting – “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor
DJ Lamb will introduce Reverend Brant Piper who will give the dinner blessing. 

·        DJ Lamb will invite guests to continue eating and mingling.

8 pm                DJ Lamb will Announce the Formal Toast (Drinking of Champaign or Punch)

Bride & Groom’s First Dance = “A wink and smile” by Harry Connick Jr.
Bridal Party Dance=“It had to be you” by Harry Connick Jr.

(Please invite guests to join in)

·        Announce Open Dance Floor

 9:00 pm          DJ Lamb please announce end of bar and dinner buffet in 30 minutes!  Guests will be reminded to continue with dancing and mingling.

9:25 pm            DJ Lamb announces “Last Call”, because the open bar closes in 5 minutes.

10:25 pm          Newlyweds Last Dance of the Night – “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye

11:00 pm          Reception officially ends.

Do NOT play:

  • David Allen Coe or the Macarena
  • Any Celine Dion song or Titanic song
