Wedding Itinerary for Saturday March 8, 2003
Rock Barn Golf and Country Club (Gordon Buntic)

6:45 p.m.          Reception officially begins. Guests will start to arrive. DJ Lamb will please play     

                        pleasant background music as guests mingle. (Jazz, big band, classy, elegant)

 

7:30 p.m.          Bride and Groom arrive.  Formal introduction of The Wedding Party by DJ Lamb

            Song for Parents and Wedding Party (Chicago Bulls Warm Up song)

Song for Newlyweds (Rock and Roll Part 2)
(Please direct people to cheer LOUDLY)

           

7:40 p.m.          Bride and Grooms first dance: “When you Say Nothing At All” by Alison Krauss (Client’s CD!)
Parent Dance (combined): “What a wonderful world” by Louis Armstrong
NOTE: HALFWAY THROUGH SONG ANNOUNCE THAT BRIDES STEPFATHER WILL FINISH DANCE

 

7:50 p.m.          Formal Welcome by DJ Lamb.  DJ Lamb will announce that butlers will be passing champagne in preparation for the toast. If appropriate, one low-key jazzy song will be played while champagne is being passed out (Peel me a grape song?)

 

7:55 p.m.          Introduction of the Best Man, who will do the Formal Toast.
After this, Dave will do the Formal Blessing.

 

8 p.m.              Buffet will then be announced by DJ Lamb, who will instruct the wedding party to go first.
Pleasant and upbeat music will be played in the background…same as the cocktail hour

 

8:45 p.m.          Cake Cutting Tradition…SONG— “How Sweet It Is” James Taylor

DJ Lamb will announce that Butlers will be passing out cake, and coffee will be available upon request.  DJ Lamb will remind them not to forget the groom’s cake.

 

9 p.m.              Bridal Party Dance - “At Last” by Etta James (Guest’s will be invited to join ½ way)

Longest Married Dance - “Through the Years” by Kenny Rogers
OPEN DANCE FLOOR!!

 

9:45 p.m.          Bouquet Toss - “Wishin and Hopin” by Dusty Springfield

                        Garter Removal - “Striptease Song” (the chair)

            Garter Toss - “Rocky Theme Song”

            Garter On - “Oh, Yeah” by Yellow (guy puts the garter on her), then they open the next dance.

 

10 p.m.            Announce Grooms table is open for anyone who wishes to have an after dinner drink and cigar with Scott out on the patio.

 

11:00 p.m.        Reception officially over. (Unless overtime is requested).

Last Dances :  Friends in Low Places (Brooks), “Stuck on You”, and “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood.  Big thank you to the Rock Barn Staff and safe driving.

Buses to hotels will be arriving shortly.  Reminder: Grooms parents are hosting a late night “gathering” in hospitality suite @ The Courtyard Marriott Grand Exit. DJ Lamb will direct guests to the people walking around with tosses and to line up in the hallway for Holly and Scott exit.

PLEASE GIVE OUT PROPS TO CHILDREN ONLY:  IE, GLOW NECKLACES

Okay to be interactive with the guest especially if they need some coaxing.
