Wedding Itinerary for Saturday March 29, 2003

Entertainer & MC: DJ Lamb

 

6:45 p.m.          Reception officially begins. Guests will start to arrive. DJ Lamb will please play pleasant background music as guests mingle eat. Heavy Hors D’Oeuvres.  DJ Lamb will announce that guests may utilize the cameras and the tables and that at the end of the evening, put them on the gift table.

 

7:15 p.m.          Bride and Groom arrive.  Formal introduction of The Wedding Party by DJ Lamb (Southampton by James Horner, followed by 2001 Space Odessey when the Newlyweds come out)

                        Bride & Groom’s First Dance = “Love of A Lifetime” by Fire House (#37)
                        Father & Bride’s First Dance – “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle
                        Formal Welcome by DJ Lamb
                        Cake Cutting – “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor
                        Toasting (Drinking of Punch)
                        DJ Lamb will invite guests to continue eating and mingling

 

8:15 p.m.          Bulldog Toss (kids only) – “Hampster Dance” by Hampy the Hampster
Bouquet Toss – “Wishin & Hopin” by Dusty Springfield
Garter Toss – Rocky Theme Song
Garter On – (DJ Lamb’s way) “You Sexy Thing” by Hot Chocolate, followed by them dancing to either “Strokin” by Clarence Carter or “I Love You” by Barney
Longest Married Couple Dance – “Through the Years” by Kenny Rogers (trophies for winners)
Open Dance Floor! (if appropriate)

 

9:30 p.m.          ** Special Treat for Mr. Steve Beeheeler.
Continue with Dancing!

 

10:30 p.m.        Newlyweds Last Dance of the Night – “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye

Reception officially ends.  DJ Lamb will instruct the guests to prepare for the newlyweds Grand Exit.

 

 

Ø      Do NOT play: David Allen Coe or the Macarena

Ø      Do PLAY the following:  Conway Twitty (Lay U Down) Client’s CD, Old School, Beach/Shag, YMCA, Cotton Eyed Joe, Electric Slide & the Cha-Cha Slide, Chicken Dance, Tootsie Roll, Twist, Kenny Chesney, and  a good variety of music for all ages (kept appropriate).

Ø      Approval for DJ Lamb to be as interactive as necessary and to utilize props appropriately.
